Our Second Annual Mini-Golf Charity Benefit at the lovely Golfers Crossing facility in Rockport has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 20 from 10-12. Join us for an enjoyable Fall outing without any crowds! Last year's event was a resounding success, with players ranging in age from 4 to 94. The family-friendly outing offers a fun way for players to support our education programs for youth while also learning about our mission.
This Summer, we continue to offer off-site talks at area Libraries and venues, including virtually on demand. Give us a call if you'd like to reserve a presentation.
Topics include: Saluting Sled Dogs
An Overview of Maritime Pets and Their Role in History
The Intersection of Marine Art and Natural History
Lighthouse Mascots
We are also planning another season of working water breed demos for 2025. If you have a dog that is a traditional water breed and can demonstrate one or more skills, please get in touch!
Our STEAM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Art/Math) program, Exploring a New America, focuses on the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery Expedition of 1804-06.
This innovative program is geared for several learning levels and consists of three separate modules. The series fosters young entrepreneurs, historians, leaders, scientists and teachers by providing the opportunity to study and practice one or more skills in each of the five STEAM areas. Our programs are available for lower through upper school levels, home schoolers and Scout groups.
The series takes a new look at the expedition's crew members, including Seaman, the Newfie who excelled at many tasks and completed the 8000 mile trip with the crew! Give us a call to schedule a session at your location or remotely.
If you have an idea or suggestion for a program or a research question, please let us know. 207-390-5909 or info@museumofmaritimepets.org
